SBC Ministry Staff
MRS. JEAN LAYMAN Music Director Jean Layman is a woman of deep commitment to
our Lord Jesus Christ who is gifted by Him with wonderful musical ability.
She is a people person who others immediately like and follow. Jean
directs our entire music program at SBC. She leads the Chancel
Choir, the Bell Choir, Children's Choir, leads the special music, and selects
all our worship music. She is a exceptional sacred musician.
ORGANIST - Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield, PA. We are seeking a born-again musician. Our current Organist is retiring. This part time position is open June 2008. We desire someone with an appreciation for both the contemporary music and the standard hymns. Our music ministry includes one blended Sunday morning worship service with Thursday evening rehearsal (Sept. – June) of the Chancel Choir; designated Special services; availability for weddings, funerals, etc. SBC is conservative, missions minded, and seeking to reach immediate communities with the Gospel. Instruments: Three manual Rogers organ; Baldwin baby grand piano; and electronic keyboard w/ 1,000 voices. SBC is located in Delaware County, a southwest suburb of Philadelphia. MS. Marion D'Amico Church Secretary Marion began her ministry as our church secretary in August 2007. She earned an A.A. from Delaware County Community College in Education. Following that she went on to earn a B.S. from West Chester University in Professional Studies w/ a focus on Social Work. Marion spent over five years working in the field of early childhood education and wanted a change. So that is why she came to SBC. In her free time Marion does volunteer work with various agencies through a community service organization in which she is a leader. Marion enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nephew. Marion is excited to be a part of the SBC staff with the opportunity to learn the workings of the church and meeting all the people.
