AWANA is an international, nondenominational, Bible centered youth organization that provides weekly clubs and programs for Kindergarten through Sixth Grade boys and girls. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of the phrase, “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV)
AWANA at Springfield Baptist is made up of two clubs: SPARKS for the K-2nd grades and TRUTH AND TRAINING for the 3rd-6th Grades. These two clubs meet Friday nights from 7pm to 9pm. The typical club-meeting schedule looks like.
7:20pm Book Time 7:45pm Game Time
8:30pm Large Group Lesson
8:50pm Awards or AWANA Store (1st Friday each month)
9:00pm Club time over!
AWANA exists to reach children with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The priorities of AWANA also include scripture memory, reaching parents/families with the gospel, and training adults to minister to children.

- Obstacle Course
- AWANA Regional Bible Quiz - T&T only
- AWANA Store - First Friday of each month - (Clubbers earn AWANA dollars with memory work, attendance and participation)
- Fun theme nights throughout the year.
